Hoisting and Lifting Equipment Surveys: These provide a register and database reporting system of all hoisting and lifting equipment onboard a drilling unit. All equipment is inspected to current manufacturer guidelines and relevant API, BS, Euro Norms and in conjunction with LOLER and SI 2307.

As a general rule drilling tool surveys are combined with hoisting and lifting equipment surveys, giving full inspection coverage of all drilling and lifting equipment onboard.

Drilling Hoisting and Handling Tool surveys to API RP 8C: A full MPI and visual inspection is carried out on the critical stress areas on all types of rotary drilling tools as per API RP 8C, API RP 7G and DSI Cat 5 recommendations and requirements.

Full inspection reports along with a database are submitted at the completion of the survey, which aids in the tracking and use of the equipment.

SPS and Hull Thickness Surveys to Certifying and Authorities Standards: Both ABS and DNV approve Reel as a service supplier for hull thick gauging as part of intermediate and renewal Special Periodic Surveys. In addition we carry out all visual and NDT inspections on the crucial joints as per the certifying authorities’ and customers’ requirements. DNV have also approved all Reel NDT procedures in conjunction with these surveys.
